Cold seeps
Sullen and sulky
Slides beneath
the weather strip
Slips between
glass and track
Sears weary bones
With the ache of age
Inches shivering
Down your back
Cold seeps
Sullen and sulky
Slides beneath
the weather strip
Slips between
glass and track
Sears weary bones
With the ache of age
Inches shivering
Down your back
Hope not just yet 🙂
I feel the same as you, Jane. I’m not sure where this poem came from to be honest. The only thing biographical about it is that I am pretty sure I was feeling cold while writing it. 🙂
Oh dear. You’re in for a long winter then 🙂
That’s exactly how this old man feels, a perfect description!! You must have been reading my thoughts. Charlie
LOL. Glad you liked the poem. Sorry you actually feel bone cold like that. Perhaps hot chocolate, which seems to remedy almost everything, is in order? 🙂
*shudders*
I could really feel that Éilis! Dont cope with cold very well myself. Hope this winter isnt too frost and icy.
It’s actually not that bad, objectively speaking. I guess I’m much like you, I get cold very easily!
Yeah, well it’s VERY windy and cold here in Ireland today, and its been grey and dull and wet for days and days…
Stay warm my friend!
Thanks, Donna!
Lovely, Eilis! The last two lines actually made me feel chilly…
